The monumental complex of the S.Spirito in Sassia is situated on the right bank of the Tiber River, in an area rich in history. Near St. Peter Basilica, went rising institutions that constituted, with the Church and the Hospices, a religious, cultural and welfare landmark for converted people who during the time became an hospital complex:
S. Spirit.
Premises covered by this intervention are those of building “G”:

Analysis of the typological plant shows that the plant with an internal courtyard of the building has a bearing wall that follows the perimeter of the court dividing the interior space into a perimeter band that has a number of offices in succession served by corridor and a band revolt by the courtyard loggia, even here there are offices of various sizes.
The courtyard façades are on four levels with porch on the ground floor consists of travertine columns and masonry walls of the upper levels partly plastered and partly in brick face view.
The main degradation phenomena detected are runoff and contamination of meteor shower, circumscribed spots of moisture that led to partial detachment of plaster, concretions resulting from biological attack.
On the stone columns elements and arches can be recognized marks and discolorations caused by meteor acid and sunlight, stains and dark spots caused by fouling, lack of material to rupture and surface erosion.
The wooden shutters of the fourth level show cracks and peeling paint, moreover there is a parapet to ensure the minimum height of 100cm for users, it is an iron railing of any historical value added in recent years.
